Statement of Abandonment
Every Statement of Abandonment filed must undergo legal publication within 30 calendar days of the initial filing date. The Statement of Abandonment must run once a week for a total of four weeks. At the end of the four-week publication period, the publisher must file a proof of publication a.k.a. affidavit of publication with the county recorder.
If legal publication does not begin within the statutory deadline, the business owner(s) shall be in violation of the California Business & Professions Code Section 17922.
Central DBA offers four-week legal publication in one of our three fully adjudicated newspapers that have been approved by the Superior Court to publish all legal notices. We shall publish your statement once a week for a total of four weeks as required by State Law. At the end of the four-week publication period, we will file a proof of publication with the county recorder.
Our publication dates are every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Our submission deadlines are two days prior to the publication date. Documents must be received and published before the 30 calendar days NOT postmarked. Late requests will be denied.
Statement of Abandonments are extremely time sensitive. You must publish immediately in order to avoid legal issues and additional charges.
